Packing and shipping

Packing the furniture is a mundane but very important step in the process. Between leaving the factory in Asia and arriving at your house, a piece of furniture will have spent three or four weeks being rocked incessantly as it crosses the oceans, it will have endured at least four lorry journeys, and will have been handled at least six times.

Our furniture generally is heavy and if cartons are dropped or allowed to fall over, the furniture will almost certainly have been damaged. We therefore handle it with great care and we work closely with our retailers to ensure that they do also. The effort which is wasted if the furniture is damaged on your doorstep is almost too awful to contemplate.

On the other hand, we hope that you will appreciate for a long time to come the effort which has gone into producing your furniture.
